What is Rotary Press?

Tablets/Pellets are made by powder compression process.

The tablet compression process includes (1) Powder filling, (2) Compression and (3) Tablet discharge. The rotary tablet press has been developped to increase the productivity.

Weight variation of tablet has the relation with powder filling condition and is influenced by powder flow and pressure between the hopper and feeder. Powder feed controller is the device to maintain powder volume in the feeder.

INDUCED DIE FEEDER
When handling difficult products, the problem of uneven feeding can occur in the tableting process. In order to prevent the production of tablets with weight variation, Induced Die Feeder was introduced, allowing easy and consistent feeding of all types of products into the die cavity.

POWDER FILLING MECHANISM
Maximum powder filling is made at the exit of fill cam and adjust the suitable filling depth at volume rail and then scrape the exess powder by powder scraper

Powder compression is created by Upper and Lower punches going through Upper and Lower rollers. The compression is created by 2 steps, Preliminary and Main comperssion portions. In addition, Compression force mechanism is equipped on compression assembly to monitor the actual pressure generated with real time and to give auto weight regulation.

TABLET DISCHARGE
After compression, Lower punches come out from dies to discharge tablets. Defective tablets automatically are rejected by main pressure control device.

DEFECTIVE TABLET REJECTION UNIT
Reject defective tablets, when actual compression force exceeds pre set values of Pressure control device.
